Human’s decades long impact on the earth can be seen everywhere. Whether it be the roads we carved into the earth or the oil we sucked from the ground and pump into our futuristic vehicles, or the juxtaposed factory next to a magnificent mountain range; This is a process we have done from the beginning of our existence. We exploit the earth for capitalist and selfish gains. The progression of human development and our place in the world has been through the molding of the earth to our desired tastes. I strived to capture the almost humorous juxtaposition of human’s control of nature to mold to our own lives, that has progressed from a simple road to a living, breathing factory within our earth. This immense human progression next to the ecosystem surrounding I believe provides great evidence ice of the detrimental impact we have made on our home. One that is almost irreversibly, constantly and selfishly striving for more. Our habitat of this stunning nature that we are lucky enough to live in, does not need to search or strive to become a perfectly running system. Nature in its fundamentals is a perfectly balanced system of energy flowing from one being to another, cohabiting. As we continue to unsustainably live and struggle to coexist   amount each other, I believe there is something to learn from looking at our own impact on the earth. The organisms of the world are able to live sustainably, coexist, and live in perfect balance by the dependence on one another to live in equilibrium.
